I have been super excited about Megan’s for so long having seen their beautiful photos on Instagram and hearing great things from friends. Megan’s is a neighbourhood style restaurant serving delicious Mediterranean inspired food all day, every day. In several locations around London including Wimbledon, Battersea, Fulham, Clapham, Parsons Green, Kensington and most recently Islington. I went to the friends & family invitation to check out the new Islington location, Megan’s at the Sorting Office.
From the moment we walked in, the interiors starstruck us. So stunning and well decorated to create a beautiful, romantic and calming ambience. The restaurant was buzzing with so many families, couples and doggies enjoying weekend brunch. We drank Bloody Megan’s, their version of a Bloody Mary, we also tried the homemade lemonade which was refreshing and the guilt-free G&T’s which were amazing!!
My highlight was the shakshorizo, so delicious with Turkish chorizo and seeded sourdough. However, it wasn’t too spicy for me and the baked eggs have perfectly runny yolks. We also had the Vegan Earth Bowl which came with smashed avocado, kale, chilli, fresh spinach, harissa hummus, quinoa & pomegranate molasses. Above all, the bowl was filling and nutritious with a spicy kick to it with the chilli on top. In particular, the halloumi fries with honey were another highlight, so delicious with the honey really bringing out the incredible flavour of the halloumi. My favourite was the half-baked cookie dough is a must-have at Megan’s, with the gooey centre and the delicious Nutella, it’s very indulgent but totally worth it.
To conclude, I really loved Megan’s and highly recommend checking them out. I can’t wait to go again to check out their dinner menu and to see more of their locations.
