Bringing you the best food & drink that Britain has to offer from fantastic independent British producers with an emphasis on flavour and sustainability. Sourced Market has multiple locations across London which include St Pancras Station, Marylebone, Victoria & Barbican. Amidst an independent grocery shop feel from the aesthetics & interiors, the ambience is very casual with a wonderfully flexible space where customers can use how they like. It is thus a great space both for small groups or for solo diners wanting a space to work. Including all-day dining,so you can pop in for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just for a post-work drink. Lastly, I really liked the layout with the different counters from the bakery, the salad bar, the hot food & the grocery shop.
I visited Sourced Market in Victoria for an evening of wine and food. The staff were amiable and very knowledgeable about their offering. For example, we had a fantastic wine recommendation towards a South African red based off of our request for a red with notes of fruitiness. We ate the cheese & cured meats platter which was well presented and had some exciting flavours. In particular, my favourite ones were the goat’s cheese, the truffle flavoured salami and the chorizo. We also had a couple of slices of quiche from the deli counter, a delicious chicken & mushroom pie with an unusual carrot, date, nut & kale salad.
Long Boy Gourmet Finger Doughnuts
Overall my main highlight from the evening was the Long Boy Gourmet Finger doughnuts. They were an eclair shaped doughnuts with flavoured cream inside. They were actually really light and fluffy to eat, and also the range of different flavours on offer was impressive. We tried the apple one, the chocolate hazelnut one and the chocolate, cherry & custard one. Subsequently, I highly recommend with a good cup of tea.
To sum up, I was impressed by Sourced Market and I hope they open more closer to where I live as I really admired the range of local artisan products they had on offer in the shop. Sourced Market is a great place overall to drop in at any time of day, and you can expect a friendly and warm welcome every time.
