The Life Goddess brings a slice of Mediterranean to Carnaby Street London. As mentioned on their website, “The Life Goddess aspires to introduce the superior quality, wealth and diversity of Greek products to gastronomy enthusiasts”. Basically, a trustworthy partner for supplying the most exquisite Greek products. I love Mediterranean cuisine, so I fell in love with The Life Goddes. Hidden inside Kingly Court, A Greek Deli & Restaurant. You are instantly greeted by the team as you walk in who are amazingly friendly. The Life Goddess is a relatively small restaurant size-wise but a cosy setting with large windows looking on to Kingly Court. The window seats are fantastic for watching the world go by.
We were recommended the Greek red wine to drink, which was very light and refreshing, incredibly easy to drink. We opted to have a few starters to share so that we could sample as much of the menu as possible. We had the feta fondue to start. The feta fondue was so delicious with a spicy tomato sauce on top and freshly baked pita bread to dip into the hot melted cheese. We also had the aubergine salad. The freshness of the aubergine and peppers make the salad particularly delicious. The stuffed vine leaves with Greek yoghurt spread were delicious and especially good with our red wine.
For dessert, we had chocolate marble. It was like a chocolate salami with biscuits and fresh strawberries and a strawberry sauce drizzled on top.
To sum up, I highly recommend The Life Goddess. It is one of the best in London for Mediterranean cuisine and greek food. Fantastic hospitality and really delicious food and wine. I can’t wait to go again as soon as I’m next near Carnaby Street.
